A Bit About Jim
As a book consultant, writing coach, and editor at WriteStuff Ink, I am an ally—a co-pilot in your creative venture. I bring my lifetime practice to compassionate developmental editing and coaching for books of all types.
I’ve been a writer since I can remember. I got 80,000 words into a novel in grade school. In high school, I discovered poetry and won a school prize.
In college, I was a creative writing/English major and got my Masters in English. In my mid-20s, I began a career as a teacher of English literature and writing that lasted 37 years. During that time, I wrote and published poems, articles, and profiles, and edited a poetry anthology for The Great Books Foundation titled Modern American Poetry which is used in colleges and secondary schools across the United States.
For more than ten years, I’ve been helping writers get motivated, organize their ideas, get words on a page, and shape those pages into a finished book. It’s work I love.
